Formed in late 1994 by singers/guitarists/drummers Conrad Keely and Jason Reece, Trail of the Dead has evolved over the years, expanding their line-up while still being creatively driven by the core founding members. Friends since childhood, Keely and Reece started playing music here in Olympia, WA and eventually relocated to Austin, TX where they started And You Will Know Us by the Trail of the Dead. The band just released their new album Tao of the Dead to great critical acclaim, inspiring Rolling Stone to declare it "some of its strongest writing in yearsbreathless, genre-spanning ambition" and SPIN to describe the album as "thunderous melodic sprawl and cryptic musings on life and death perfectly fit the conceptual bill, with everything cranked to its natural extreme." Supporting the night are Austin bands Follow That Bird and Ringo Deathstarr.
