Goliathon
Goliathon It has been said that Goliathon may be, "one of Indianapolis's best kept secrets". This quintet is armed with three guitars, heart pounding drums, an organ, harmonica, bass, and saxophone. Goliathon brings back the classic rock sounds of bands such as Black Sabbath and Led Zepplin, jamming tirelessly with passion and precission. Heavy laden guitar riffs, spacey keys, and a sexy saxophone work in harmony with front man Chris Probasco"s "golden pipes". Together they produce a progressive vintage sound that is nearly impossible to replicate.
Mutts Mutts are a piano-centric, mercurial band often described as a unique blend of Tom Waits and Nirvana. Chicago blog Stories from a Scene recently said, "their live performance is fascinating and lead singer Mike Maimone's passion is evident on stage." The guitar-less Mutts manage to draw comparisons to rock acts such as The Dead Weather, Black Keys and Queens of the Stone Age for their heavy blues-rock, while their cabaret-style acoustic sets channel Randy Newman, Dresden Dolls and Leon Russell.
Dead Man's Switch The members of Dead Man's Switch have been in a lot of bands. . . and now they're in this one. If you took the sounds of Drive Like Jehu, Quicksand, Orange 9mm, Fugazi, and Jawbox and shot them into a black hole, Dead Man's Switch is what you'd hear on the other side. John Zeps and Tony Reitz on guitars, Ace One on vocals, Bake Henry on bass, and Tom Roosa on drums.
