Production Basics: Scary Cow Style! Limited Seating Available! Workshop Detail
Production Basics: Scary Cow Style!  Limited Seating Available!

Workshop Details:
This workshop will teach the basic production techniques for Camera, Lights, and Sound, as commonly used on Scary Cow shoots!!  Taught by three filmmakers who have been with Scary Cow since the early years, this class is specifically designed for our film collective and its members!

This workshop begins with a presentation about equipment and the processes used on set.  Then students will split into small groups and spend time operating camera, setting up lights, and capturing sound. Each participant gets a chance to be HANDS ON with all the equipment. At the conclusion of the workshop participants will be familiar with the standard filmmaking tools and protocols used in Scary Cow, and will be ready to work on set and have enough knowledge to bring their own projects to life!

Instructor Bios:
Michael Schrecker has been doing location and post-production sound for ultra-low budget films for more then ten years. An early Scary Cow member, you may remember him from such films as "The Time Addict" and "Ricky Gets Rejected".

Stan Ng is an engineer who bangs code for a living.  He has contributed to many award-winning Scary Cow films as DP, Boom Operator and Script Supervisor. Stan is a fixture at the Midpeninsula Community Media Center in Palo Alto, where he has been a camera operator for hundreds of television shows. He has produced dozens of short documentary and promotional videos focused on local topics.

Scott Krinsky studied Film at San Jose State University in the late 80's then went on to produce and direct corporate marketing and training films for various clients including Sony and Unisys. He operated camera for "Two from the Line" and acted as Cinematographer on "Damage" and "7 Minutes in HELL." Scott currently runs Six Finger Films in San Francisco with Christopher McGilvray where they write, produce, and direct innovative films of all types.
