Executive Order 9066 (SF)
The Marsh, San Francisco's breeding ground for new performance, presents Liebe Wetzel's Lunatique Fantastique with their piece, Executive Order 9066.
Using a Japanese tea set, table cloth, sand, brown paper, and an old suitcase, the ensemble creates the poignant, moving story of one family's forced evacuation from their home in Berkeley to Topaz, Utah during WWII and their return at the end of the war.
Since 2000, Wetzel and Lunatique Fantastique have created and performed acclaimed productions, including "Snake in the Basement: The Prosecution of Rev. Bill Pruitt," "The Wrapping Paper Caper," and "Brace Yourself!" Her innovative work has won many awards including the S.F. Bay Guardian Goldie Award for best new theater talent, as well as Best of Fringe.
