2011 Baltimore 48 Hour Film Project
The 48 Hour Film Project returns to Charm City on June 22, 23.
The B-More 48HFP features four different screenings at the Charles Theater (June 22, 7:15, 9:30 and June 23, 7:15 and 9:30)
There will be a lot of great films from 48HFP veterans and some great new teams as well.
AND for the first time, we are pleased to offer the All FESTIVAL PASS. This pass offers a discount for people attending all four screenings.
This year, 50 teams of local filmmakers hit the streets of Charm City in their race against the clock.
On Friday June 10, the teams draw their genre from the "cruel hat of fate" to determine the genre of their film -
Will it be the dreaded "musical or western"? sci fi? horror? spy? Who knows! Teams also receive a character, prop, and line of dialogue to include in their movie.
The 48 Hour Film Project's mission is to advance filmmaking and promote filmmakers. Through its festival/competition, the Project encourages filmmakers and would-be filmmakers to get out there and make movies....emphasizing creativity and teamwork skills.
While the time limit places an unusual restriction on the filmmakers, it is also liberating by putting an emphasis on "doing" instead of "talking."
