Derek Johnstone
In 2008, the inaugural winner of BBC MasterChef: The Professionals judged by Michel Roux Jnr. This triumph led to him working at the famous two Michelin Star restaurant Le Gavroche.
In 2009 he accepted the position as Head Chef at the Relais & Chateaux 5* Greywalls Hotel & Chez Roux Restaurant. In 2014 Derek left to open The Golf Inn, a traditional village inn in Gullane.
He is passionate about making the most of each season, using Scottish produce and working with local suppliers to bring a re al taste of Scotland to his new enterprise.
