Elmwood-Bidwell Market Tour & Taste
Join us for an insider's look at one of Buffalo's most exciting urban treasures, the bustling Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market. On this guided tour, you'll learn the delicious secrets of WNY'S burgeoning local food scene.
Through the efforts of Feed Your Soul, shoppers will have the opportunity to meet a selection of the market's farmers and artisan food makers, while hearing about WNY's exciting farm-to-table movement and agricultural bounty. Discover their growing methods, taste some of the market's most interesting edibles, and hear the personal stories of a select number of market vendors.
Today's consumer demands full disclosure of what they put on their family's table. With the help of surprise guest chefs, our guides, and the farmers and artisans themselves, we will do just that. (See EatLocalBuffalo.com for the schedule of guest chefs, which is subject to change.)
It's like a backstage pass to your dinner! Whether you're a veteran cook or just learning your way around the kitchen, this experience will help you develop your knowledge and skills and you'll have a great time doing it.
Last year, our Market Tours sold out so quickly, we've added several more, with a longer time period dedicated to shopping and enjoying the sunshine on Fredrick Law Olmsted's stunning Bidwell Parkway.
All tours start at 10 a.m. Please arrive by 9:45 a.m. for check-in. We meet at the Elmwood-Bidwell sign near the front of the market along Elmwood Avenue.
Guest chefs are subject to change. The schedule is a work in progress, so please check back for updates.
