Captain Smartypants at Bloedel Reserve
Captain Smartypants is an eight-man ensemble of the renowned Seattle Men's Chorus, led by composer/pianist Eric Lane Barnes. They have performed all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond thrilling, delighting and opening the eyes of audiences from Washington, DC to San Francisco. Their shows include covers of famous songs, hilarious parodies, and moving original material based on personal experiences. Their stylistic range includes swing, doo-wop, pop, Motown, techno-pop, and barbershop. Since their inception in 2000, they have performed with Ann Wilson, Kristin Chenoweth, Melissa Manchester, and American Idol finalist Blake Lewis.
Their new show this year is called "Eat, Pray, Pant," featuring send-ups of favorite books including Yertle the Turtle, Twilight, The Wizard of Oz, Frankenstein, Alice in Wonderland, and The Odyssey, not to mention Dante's Inferno.
