2011 48 Hour Film Project
The 48 Hour Film Project is a film competition where teams of filmmakers write, shoot, edit and score a film in two days.
This unique event begins on Friday, June 17th when each team finds out the genre of their film when they randomly select it from a predetermined list. Plus, all teams have to include the same character, prop, and line of dialogue into their films.
Then, on Sunday, June 19th the weary-eyed filmmakers race to the finish line to submit their film by the 7:30 pm deadline. No exceptions!! No amount of crying, pleading or death threats will soften the heart of the Milwaukee Producer.
On Thursday, June 23rd, all films will be viewed on the big screen in front of a packed house. Three judges will vote on which film deserves the honor of "Best of Milwaukee" film while the audience will vote for their favorite film.
Screening A will begin at 7:00 pm and Screening B will begin at 9:00 pm. Please note that there will be different films at each screening.
Ticket Prices for each screening: Only A (7:00 pm) $10 Only B (9:00 pm) $10 Both A & B $18
I always recommend you come to both screenings so you can see all of the films.
This competition is exciting, exhilarating, frustrating, exhausting, and pure fun!
So come out to celebrate independent film in Milwaukee!!
Please note that these films are not rated and may contain language and actions that are not appropriate for all audiences.
