Close Quarters

Chemically Imbalanced Comedy is proud to present a one night only event presenting the long running IO show Close Quarters the week before its Just For Laughs Chicago Debut.

Close Quarters explores space, time, and character through Improvisation originally conceived by an incredible cast and its director, Noah Gregoropoulos. In more recent years the current cast ran the show at IO for over 2 years.

"With manipulation of time and space, the goal is to show people and a place from different "angles..." like if a scene is played, we may see another scene overlap and/or begin from within that space. If the whole of time/space is shaped like a diamond, we only see one facet at a time. In Close Quarters we strive to see many connecting facets and how they "schmear" together with sounds and actions overlapping or having delayed consequences." -Cast Member Jason Chin
