A Series of "Happenings" for the San Francisco Festival of Fantastic Film
Performances on August 13, 15 and 17 at 7:30 pm
Expect wild results when Thrillpeddlers and The Creepshow Committee team up with Dead Channels as part of the alternative cinema organization's San Francisco Festival of Fantastic Film.
"Live Acts & Dead Channels in The Hypnodrome" draws inspiration from the thrills and chills of Grand Guignol horror theatre, the magic and mayhem of the classic live Spookshows and rare and radical vintage short and feature films from Dead Channels' archive of 16mm movies.
PLUS! The Hypnodrome premiere's the theatre's newly designed Shock Box Seats and "Lights Out" ghost show! Do you dare to enter - The Pharaoh's Tomb! Heaven and Hell! The Asylum of Shock! Take it from us - "Sissies Stay Home!" Adventurous twosomes who book private "SHOCK BOX" seats are in for even more thrills! Couples can cuddle on the loveseat of their own private theatre box. You can even close the special curtain and watch the show without the show watching you! Each one-of-kind SHOCK BOX is tricked out with ghoulish effects and hair raising spookshow shenanigans.
Each program showcases a vintage feature film from the Dead Channel's Vault!

Celebrate the lost art of moviehouse macabre, live on-stage with Thrillpeddlers and The Creepshow Committee's "Gypsy Spookshow". Our feature presentation? "The Sorcerers" Dig this ballyhoo and see if you can stay away! "Boris Karloff - He Turns Them On...He Turns Them Off...to live...love...die or KILL!"
August 15th, "THRILLPEDDLERS FLASH BACKS"
A Benefit for Thrillpeddlers' Tour to Burning Man. Featuring The Creepshow Committee in "Devil's Flush", Thrillpeddlers in the revival of Rob Keefe's "The Empress of Colma" and the whole cast in Yusef Lambert's "Zombied". Plus! Psychedelic film shorts from Dead Channels and much, much more!
August 17th, "ROCK N ROLL WRAP PARTY"
Join us the night after the Festival ends for a glam rock horror show romp - including "Zombied" live on stage and our feature film presentation "Phantom of the Paradise"
Dead Channels presents the San Francisco Festival of Fantastic Film bringing the best science fiction, fantasy, horror, experimental, 'sploitation and offbeat genre movies they can find to the City. The Festival has something for every taste-from afternoon family-friendly retro matinees to twisted offerings unveiled for the midnight crowd.
