Chemically Imbalanced Comedy is excited to present "The Complete Beginners Guide to Improvisation"

So you have seen Improv and have always wanted to try it. This is the workshop for you! Not only will you learn the basics of performing on stage but you will be left at the end of the session with the tools on how to continue your work in Improv. The course will cover successful scene work, how and where to find auditions, how to prepare for them, and even how to produce your own Improv show. This is a complete course from A to Z for anyone how has ever wanted to learn about not only what it takes to be a performer but how to make it happen. Chemically Imbalanced Comedy is an 11 year old Theater with company members who have trained and performed at all the major Comedy Institutions through out the Country. Known for hit shows like Pimprov, Book of Liz, and our Comedy Festival Snubfest perfomers have emerged from our stage to go on to lucrative careers in Film and Television as well as Stage.

About the Instructor:
Marz Timms is an actor, stand-up comedian, improviser, writer, director, and producer who has shared the stage with SNL's Bobby Moynihan, and Horatio Sanz , Anchorman's Fred Willard, Whose Line is it Anyway's Wayne Brady, Madd T.V.'s Ike Barinholtz, and Keegan Michael Key, and Upright Citizen's Brigade's Matt Besser in New York. As an actor he has performed in over 100 productions across the U.S. getting his start in Chicago at the Annoyance Theater in Co-ed Prison Sluts with Chicago improv icons Mick Napier, Susan Messing, Joe Bill, and Mark Sutton. He then took his talents to Second City and was an original member of Second City's Brown Co. Marz created, produces and directs the critically-acclaimed improv and sketch comedy group Pimprov. As a touring stand-up comedian, Marz has performed with Loni Love of Chelsea Lately, Lynne Koplitz and Eddie Griffin. Most recently Marz contributed his voice to another video game starring in the latest Mortal Kombat as Jax. Marz has written for film, television, and The Second City.

Cost $175
To sign up a 50% non refundable deposit must be paid in advance through brown paper tickets. The remaining class fee will be paid on the first day of class. Payment plans can be worked out.

Want to try a class to see what it is like? We are offering a one day drop in workshop for only $15 on Monday June 6 at 7pm to be paid on the day of class.
