Small Business Lunch at Halls
The King Street Marketing Group and Halls Chophouse are pleased to welcome Colonel Jeffrey "Pep" DeVore, the Commander of both Joint Base Charleston and the 628th Air Base Wing, South Carolina. He is our guest speaker for Small Business Lunch at Halls, Thursday, July 9th.
As the base commander, Col. DeVore is responsible for $7.5 billion in base property and capital assets and controls an annual budget exceeding $172 million. In addition, the Wing provides mission-ready expeditionary Airmen to Combatant Commanders in support of Joint and Combined operations worldwide.

As host to over 60 Department of Defense and Federal agencies, the Wing provides installation support to a total force of over 90,000 Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, civilians, dependents, and retirees across four installations including Charleston AFB and Naval Weapons Station Charleston.
Colonel DeVore graduated from Kent State University and earned his commission through the ROTC program. His staff assignments include tours as Chief, Joint Exercise Division at the NATO Joint Warfare Center in Norway, Aide de Camp and Executive Officer for the Director, Air National Guard and as Chief, Mobility Forces Programs, National Guard Bureau, the Pentagon. Operationally, he commanded the USAF's first-ever active associate C-130 airlift squadron and also the 746th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron. He also commanded the 386th Expeditionary Operations Group in Southwest Asia. As a theater airlift aviator, he has flown in numerous combat operations world-wide. Colonel DeVore is a master navigator with more than 4,400 hours in several aircraft. His major awards and dcorations include: Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Air Medal with silver oak leaf cluster, and Aerial Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters.
Each month, Small Business Lunch at Halls features a distinguished speaker from the business, civic or political arenas upstairs at Halls Chophouse with an imaginative three-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Matthew Niessner.
Tickets are $29 per person plus tax and processing fee for the luncheon and parking. Doors open at 11:30 AM and lunch is served promptly at noon. Limited seating of 90 participants provides an intimate experience with each speaker.
Halls Chophouse is located at 434 King Street in downtown Charleston. Parking, validated at the event, is available at the Visitors Center Garage on Ann Street between King and Meeting Streets.
