Jimmy Hutchison
Jimmy Hutchison will take you on a guided tour through Scottish traditional song, from the Bothy Ballads of the North-East of Scotland, love songs, humorous songs to the great Border Ballads (The Muckle Sangs). His songs are punctuated by couthie explanations and he may throw in the occasional folk story. Much of Jimmy's repertoire was learned directly from the renowned source singers such as Jeannie Robertson, Jimmy McBeath, Davy Stewart and the Stewarts of Blair. As a regular guest at traditional music festivals, Whitby Folk Week and Celtic Connections an entertaining journey through Scotland's songs is guaranteed.
Please note children of four years of age or under will not be admitted to any Back Room or Big Room performances after 7.00pm
