Curmudgeon in Concert
Following last year's sell-out performance, join Edinburgh trio Curmudgeon for more songs on the old familiar topics of deception, drunkenness (dangers thereof), disappointment and lost ways of life, interspersed with beautiful old airs and lively strathspeys and reels on fiddle, guitar, whistle and Scottish smallpipes. Scottish trad not depressing enough for you? We also do Richard Thompson numbers! Sweetie-rustlers will be ejected, but joiners-in on choruses encouraged. 'Cracking singers .superb instrumentalists. Their material is varied and unusual, all served up with panache and a sense of humour. Don't miss them.' (David Begg, Penicuik Folk Club)
