...accept ME NYC
Project Moves brings the message of acceptance to one of the most prestigious dance stages in NYC, The Joyce Theatre. Inspired by the work of Kevin Epling, who lost his son Matt to bullycide in 2002, Accept ME had its Boston Premier April 1 & 2, 2011 to full houses and standing ovations both evenings. Rennie Gold, and the dancers of Project Moves join forces to create an umbrella that shields, protects and gives voice to all those wounded by the bullying epidemic. This mixed art, multimedia event presented by teen dancers that have been on both sides of the issue share their own stories as well as those who've been victims of Bullycide. With tales of tragedy and triumph, Accept ME shares the joy of first friendships to the pain of isolation to the satisfaction of self-acceptance. You will laugh, cry and leave the theatre celebrating the uniqueness of every human being.
