Leah Druzinsky
Leah Druzinsky is a singer/songwriter born in Chicago, Illinois. At age three her grandfather, Edward Druzinsky, the principal harpist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, was impressed that she sang perfectly in tune. Leah began writing original songs when she was in high school but did not perform them in public until later. For the past two years, Leah has been thrilled to work with Nick O'Connor and his band Pilgrim Road. She is featured in four tracks on their latest album, Lady In Pink, released this past Spring. Druzinsky released her first demo album, Put My Money On The Sun, in 2009 and her second, How It's Gonna Be, in October of 2010. The album features amazing artists and was produced by Craig Williams of Dr. Caw Recording. Last winter Leah was thrilled to play a couple of shows at the Bitter End in New York's Greenwich Village. Leah's music merges a beautiful jazz voice with a classic songwriting style in the tradition of Carole King, Joni Mitchell, and Tracy Chapman.
Dizzy is a group of seasoned local artists who after years of road work, commercial work and studio work have come together to play what they all love the most Swampy, jazzy, old stuff. This is a standards band with a twist, played in a way that makes even the songs of the 20's sound like something from the 21st century. All successful musicians in their own right, their work can be heard on countless local and national TV and radio commercials as well as recordings with national artists, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston and local artists Cookie Coleman and The Sevilles. You will love their take on some of the greatest songs ever written.
