11:15 - Break and refreshments
11:30 - Guest Speaker - Tara Morgan on setting strategy
Workshop Topics:
Meeting your fundraising goals! If you put on a fundraising event, make sure it meets your goals for revenue, volunteer use and brand impact. Find out how to assess your event's chances before you expend the energy and resources.
Building great strategy. Whether it's an event for 5 people or 5000 - we all know the work load is the same. Let's talk about how to enlist event sherpas like the internet and great volunteers plus how to use your events not only as a short-term cash cow, but to go the distance every time with mission, vision and donor cultivation.
Who may attend: Anyone that needs to know more about fundraising through events. The workshop will specifically focus on the needs and goals of nonprofits, but all are welcome.
This event is completely open and free to the public.
Speaker biographies:
Susan Howlett has been helping nonprofits raise money strategically for over 35 years. Her lively, interactive sessions are filled with stories, humor and chocolate.
Tara Morgan earned her fundraising stripes at the 25 day mega-event known as the Seattle International Film Festival. She now holds court at the Mount Baker Community Club, a vibrant community center and event venue (no plug intended).
