Beef, Beer and Butchery at Back Forty
As part of it's ongoing celebration of National Poetry Month, on Saturday, April 21st, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Academy of American Poets will host a poetry and cocktail "slam" at Back Forty in the East Village. We are inviting Bartenders from the community to throw their creativity and inspiration into the event! Eight cocktail masters will mix, shake and pour their favorite poetry-inspired creations. Stay tuned for information about the participating cocktail houses. Bob Holman of the Bowery Poetry Club will be on site to recite each poem, cocktail in hand. Ticket for the event are $50 plus tax and gratuity ($64.44 - Brown Paper Ticket charge not included) if purchases before April 16th. After, tickets will cost $55 plus tax, gratuity and bpt charge. Come taste the cocktail creations and snack on tasty treats with poets and bartenders alike.
