JAZZ IT UP @ Sorrento Restaurant with ROB PAPAROZZI & Friends
The popular and hot jazz and blues monthly event invites you celebrate life with a wonderful concert experience at the monthly Jazz It Up! @ Sorrento Restaurant, located at 631 Central Avenue in Westfield, NJ. Acclaimed jazz and blues music artists bring you listening experience that promises to captivate the audience on the last Wednesday of each month at this intimate venue. The experience includes a choice of Music Menu entree, dessert and a beverage plus BYOB is welcome. This hot monthly jazz and blues music event continues on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 7pm with a special concert with the extraordinary talents of Grammy-nominated blues and jazz frontman Rob Paparozzi and his guest artists.
New Jersey-based Rob Paparozzi has been a blues performer since 1967. But Rob is far from being strictly a blues musician. In fact, he's at home playing a wide range of music, ranging from rock to blues to jazz to pop. This versatility is reflected in the long and remarkably diverse list of major artists Rob has worked with, including B.B.King, Dr. John, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, Carole King, Roberta Flack, Culture Club, Cyndi Lauper, Randy Newman, Jimmy McGriff, and James Galway.
Rob toured the world with the "Original Blues Brothers Band", featuring guitar legend Steve Cropper and special guest Eddie Floyd from 2000 to 2007. Since 2005 to the present Rob is the Frontman-Singer for the legendary music group "Blood Sweat and Tears".
Rob's Broadway, movie, and television credits are also extensive, including: shows Big River and The Will Rogers Follies; films Flirting With Disaster and Ride; TV programs The Bill Cosby Show, CBS Early Show and the David Letterman Show including appearances in 2006 with Dolly Parton and George Jones on Conan O'Brien and David Letterman's LATE SHOW. TV Commercials and jingles for Scotch 3M BLUE tape, KFC, Pizza Hut, Maxwell House, Wendy's, Lincoln Mercury, Stouffers, Dodge, Ford, Coke, Pepsi, Dominos, Tylenol, etc. The bottom line is, even if you haven't heard of Rob Paparozzi before, you've probably heard and enjoyed his work!
Jazz It Up! concert tickets are priced at $29.95 per person. Showtime is from 7pm to 9pm. Seating and dinner service for the concert experience starts at 6pm and continues during the program. The staff at Sorrento Restaurant, a long established Westfield eatery and home of the original tomato pie since 1870, welcomes you to this special monthly music concert event where you and your entire family can enjoy entrees from a pizza pie to a full course Italian meal.
