Event
HEART (Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers) fundraiser.
The Playground Theater is delighted to host an evening of improv dedicated to HEART (Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers) on Friday, June 10 at 8pm.
HEART is a non-profit organization that goes to schools in Chicago to teach lessons focusing on social justice, animal welfare, and the environment. HEART's goal is to teach students compassion for other people throughout the world, as well as non-human animals and the environment, and empower the students to take action to help these groups.
Three of the Playground's house ensembles -- Mustang Repair, The Senate + K.C. Redheart -- will perform, with proceeds from the evening supporting HEART's efforts. Tickets are just $10, and our theater is always BYOB.
BONUS: The evening will also feature a raffle for prizes generously donated by the Chicago Diner, Eleanor Reily Handmade Soaps, Love & Pieces, and The Mixing Bowl Bakery.
More information on HEART (including how to make a tax-deductible donation) can be found on their website: teachhumane.org/heart
