"Broken Strings" A World Premiere
Wanted for murder, a grievously wounded outlaw seeks refuge at the Flynn farm on the Kansas-Missouri border shortly after the Civil War. Jimmie Conlin and John Flynn stood together during anti-Irish riots in Philadelphia and rode side by side with Quantrill and "Bloody" Bill Anderson in the raids on Lawrence and Centralia. Now Flynn must choose between his violent past and a bright future. Should he heed his wifes protests and turn away his best friend or should he risk everything to save him? He must decide quickly: the Pinkertons are closing in.
Broken Strings was a finalist in the 2003 Beverly Hills Theatre Guild-Julie Harris Playwright Award Competition.
