Mama Juggs: Comedic One-Woman Show about Breast Cancer Awareness
Comedic One-Woman Show Takes on Breast Awareness in the Triangle
As seen Off-Broadway and in Cameroon, Africa the provocative one-woman show Mama Juggs returns to the Triangle!
Public Radio Producer/Actress 'rie' Shontel's courageously gritty performance in Mama Juggs resonates with comedy and unapologetic candor as three women question cultural taboos about breast cancer, bra stuffing, and breast feeding in the black community. A 'capella songs about breasts passed down from her great-grandmother Suga Babe are used throughout the show. Mama Juggs has received ovations from California to the rainforest of Cameroon, Africa.
25% of the proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Race for a Cure in honor of the actresses late-mama Mable Marie.
An exclusive 15-minute documentary of her mother living with breast cancer will be shown following the show.
