Bryson Barnes & Jeff Nania
Trumpeter Bryson Barnes and saxophonist Jeff Nania, now in their mid-twenties, have been respected members of the Capital District jazz scene since their high school days. Hailed as "teen wunderkind" by the Gazette when he first hit the region's finest jazz stages, Bryson went on to pursue advanced degrees in music. For several years he directed McGill University's Jazz Orchestra and taught jazz theory while maintaining an active touring schedule throughout the Northeast with pop/soul powerhouse Strength in Numbers. Now just back from a residency in jazz and creative music at Banff Centre, Bryson is a prolific composer and performer and splits his time between Montreal and Saratoga Springs.
