In 1920 the Rhode Island Historical Society mounted a spectacular exhibit of over 300 samplers. Now one of these is coming home to stay. The Susan Whitmore Sampler (1799) has been donated to the Society by direct descendant, Content Mott-Smith Sablinksy of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Please join the RIHS, Content and her family to celebrate the "home coming" of this fabulous piece of Rhode Island History.
