Bambu Station, originally founded in 1996 by lead singer Jalani Horton, reached global acclaim with their heart-stirring compilation Bambu Station Studio presents: Talkin' Roots I. This album earned the distinction of "Compilation of the year 2002" by Ireggae.com. Bambu Station quickly followed this heralded release with the release of One Day, an album Creation Steppin' Radio called the "Album of the Year" in 2003. The D.C. Annual Reggae Awards selected One Day as "Album of the Year 2003," the song "One Day" as "Song of the Year 2003," and Bambu Station as "Producer of the Year 2003." Such excitement and attention generated throngs of new fans for this small band hailing from the humble Caribbean isles of St. Croix and St. Thomas.
The band released Talkin' Roots II in the first week of February 2005, and the follow-up to their 2003 release, One Day, in the summer of 2006 - Break the Soil. Regionally, Break the Soil received "Album of the Year" honors on WNCW's Dubatomi Particles, and afforded Bambu Station bookings across the world - from Asheville, NC to California to Israel to the largest European reggae festivals and beyond.
Bambu Station has just completed new recordings and is gearing up to once again broadcast live across Planet Earth . . .
