Literary Speed Dating (Men's Ticket)

Looking for a relationship just so you can double your book collection? Well, comb your bangs, wipe off your glasses and turn on the charm, because the St. Louis Independent Bookstore Alliance is hosting Literary Speed Dating on June 12th at 9PM at The Royale at 3132 S. Kingshighway.

Bring your favorite book - something that changed the very fabric of your being when you read it the first time, or the fifth time - and meet all the hottest nerds St. Louis has to offer. Your soulmate (or summer fling, at least) might be lugging Infinite Jest (if he's got The Pale King in his bag, lock him down), or maybe she's in a sundress with The Awakening. Come early to check out the lovely liquid courage cocktails The Royale is making for Cocktail Museum, and be ready to chat, flirt and fall in love with one of St. Louis' most eligible hot nerds.

Hosted by one of St. Louis' best improv players, George Malich will keep things moving smoothly and make sure that even if you don't find a love match, you'll still have a blast.

Hints:
Leave the Bukowski at home. Consider boxing up the worst of the misogynist stuff until you get past a 4th date.

Don't worry if your favorite book is pink with shoes on it, or you still have the costume you wore to your 6th Comic-con. There is a lid for every pot, so be brave!
