Songwriters in the Round: Sean Healen, Jono Manson, Tim Wiford
"Three artists...Three voices...three stories, the art of a song"

In the first of Songwriters in the Round 2011 concert series Lisa Carman and SheSingSongsStudios presents a intimate showcasing of the singer songwriter. Sean Healen, Jono Manson and Tim Wiford are on stage together trading musical moments, insights to their muse; engaging and sharing with the audience the how , the why, and the where of composing a song.

Sean Healen is an award winning singer/songwriter. With music reminiscent of Leonard Cohen and a style at once intricate and eloquent, Sean is rapidly achieving the national stage. Sean's latest recording project, "Crown Of Coal", was produced by notable producer Malcolm Burn (Bob Dylan, Emmy Lou Harris, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop etc..) In addition, Healen has performed double bills with the following notables: Michael Franti, John Hiatt, The Bodeans, James McMurtry, Chuck Prophet, and The Gourds.

Jono Manson is a prolific singer/songwriter and seasoned performer, with a long track record that includes major-label releases as both recording artist and producer and extensive touring in the USA and Europe. Jono comes from a family full of creative people. His mother was a principle member in the Martha Graham dance company, who also worked alongside the likes of Merce Cunningham, John Cage, and Leonard Bernstein and Jono's cousins are the filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen. So, it's not surprising that he formed his first all-original band in 1968, at the age of seven and, from that moment on, never looked back. Manson fronted many groups throughout his school years, always playing original music. He became a full-time professional musician at the age of 19, when he began working almost nightly in bars and clubs in his native New York City. Manson started 2011 with 16 acoustic shows (in 17 days!) in Italy and Sardinia, including a run of eight co-bill appearances with his old pal Chris Barron (Spin Doctors). When not on the road, he's been busy producing records and writing songs. He's currently assembling material for a new, all-acoustic album of his own which, insanely busy schedule permitting, should be ready in the fall of 2011.

Tim Wiford's music offers a range of styles reminiscent of country, rock, folk and blues. His take on the world challenges the status quo in economics and social systems, making a connection to everyday relationships and love. This is compelling music from the heart, not just the head, and will reveal very personal aspects of Tim's life experience and his ideas about how we can acknowledge the value and uniqueness of each person. Lisa Carman calls Tim "a hidden treasure in Santa Fe."
