the Lake Worth Playhouse is proud to host Dori Berinsteinâs award-winning cinematic achievement, ShowBusiness: The Road to Broadway, on the Mainstage.
Winner of Best Documentary at the Florida Film Festival and a distinguished Spotlight Selection at the Tribeca Film Festival, this entertaining documentary has already received rave reviews from the L.A. Times, the Chicago Tribune, Atlantic Journal Constitution, San Diego Metropolitan, Boston Now and L.A. Magazine to name a few. ShowBusiness: The Road to Broadway reveals the untold stories of the 2003 â 2004 Broadway season. From opening auditions all the way to the Tony Awards, the filmmaker documents the trial and tribulations of four of this decadeâs most high-profile productions including the highest grossing musical of all time, Wicked, the Rosie OâDonnell/Boy George musical imported from London, Taboo, Tony Kushnerâs Caroline, or Change and the adult puppet satire, Avenue Q.
The Lake Worth Playhouse will present a special Afterparty at The Cottage Restaurant (522 Lucerne Avenue). The cast of the Lake Worth Playhouseâs summer hit, Rocky Horror Show will play host to a wild night of karaoke, as guests sing their favorite Broadway show tunes.
