Hay Fever
Hay Fever, Noël Coward's fast-talking comedy of maids and manners, introduces us to the utterly over-the-top Bliss family. When each member of the family separately invites a romantic liaison to the Bliss' English country home for the weekend, hilarity ensues, usually at the cost of the unsuspecting guests. Eccentric, wily, and more than a little debauched, the family's preference for theatrics culminates into quixotic entanglements and grand-scale mischievousness. Celebrated British playwright Noël Coward wrote Hay Fever in 1924 and brought the play to New York City the following year, capturing American audiences with his signature quick-witted farcical style. Performances will take place in the Robert E. Nims Theatre in the UNO Performing Arts Center, and will run May 3rd 7th at 7:30 pm, and will close on Sunday, May 8th with a 2:30 pm curtain. The production features: Caleigh Keith (Judith Bliss), James Vitale (Simon Bliss), Kaitlyn Heckel (Sorel Bliss), and P.J. McKinnie (David Bliss). Additional cast includes Jennifer Freeman, Renee Rodriguez, Robert Facio, Michael Krikorian, and Timothea O'Neal.
