Tim Stoltenberg's Improv for Play Creation
This workshop will teach and explore the use of improvisation and working as an ensemble to create original theatre. The workshop will use a combination of exercises and techniques created by Frank Wittow, founder of the Academy Theatre, as well as exercises Tim has learned and devised from his own experiences in creating theatre.
Tim Stoltenberg worked for the Academy as an actor and as Director for the Academy's Theatre for Youth Tour. Tim served as Improv Director for Dad's Garage and as Director for Jewish Theatre's Project Impact, a teen ensemble that created original theatre. Tim now works for The Second City in Chicago where he is a member of their National Touring Company. Tim travels the world exploring theatre; he recently returned from Amsterdam where he performed and taught in the Amsterdam Improv Festival.
