This forum will bring issues of importance to the African American community to the forefront of the current candidates for City Council of Seattle. This is a historic election as it is the first time City Council will be elected by District. We invite candidates from District 3 (Central District), District 2 (Southeast) and at large seats 8 & 9.
Event co-sponsors and supporters include Black Dollar Days Task Force, Umoja P.E.A.C.E. Center, Hydmo Cypher, A. Phillip Randolph Institute, Africatown-Central District Preservation & Development Alliance, 206 Zulu, Brothas Buildin, African American Community Legacy Project and more.
This project is funded in part by a Neighborhood Matching Fund award from the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.
