Climate Change Solutions from the Neighborhood Level
Join the World Affairs Council's International Visitor Program, Sustainable Ballard, and the Sustainable Fuel Co-op (SFC) for a community networking reception and panel discussion of neighborhood approaches to climate change.
Panelists from Sustainable Ballard and SFC will discuss their unique approaches mobilizing local community members to address climate change through sustainable living. A networking reception with our featured delegation of international climate change leaders and local panelists including light appetizers and drinks will immediately follow the panel.
The panel and reception has been organized as part of a State Department-sponsored program for leaders in climate change from around the world. The visitors include government ministers, a presidential advisor, engineers, and NGO leaders from Cape Verde, Cote d'Ivoire, Croatia, Japan, Morocco, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Uruguay, Vietnam, and Yemen. While in Seattle, the visitors will examine sustainable development of renewable energy, environmental law, renewable energy in protected areas, and alternative media coverage of environmental issues.
Join us for this opportunity to network and learn about what you can do to contribute to climate change solutions at the local and global level.
