Raising Rabbits
Rabbits, one of the most sustainable meat sources for city-dwellers, take up little space, are prolific reproducers, provide the perfect soil amendment and taste delicious! As part of the Homesteading 101 series by FARMcurious, Rachel Brinkerhoff and Esperanza Pallana will provide all you need to know to start raising your own meat rabbits. From start-up costs to feed, care, and, yes, slaughtering and butchering, this class will cover it all. Not sure you like rabbit meat? We will serve you a tasty meal to leave no doubts (We will also have a vegetarian dinner option).
After the presentation, Nicole Kramer of FARMcurious will offer instructional books to get you off and rabbiting!
