Musical Grey Gardens is Hilarious and Heart-Breaking;
Meet Jackie Oâs Most Outrageous Relatives!

The Jewel Box Theatre presents the Tony Award-winning musical "Grey Gardens" on weekends from May 20 through June 19. The delightful and engaging show, directed by Gwen Adams, will run at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. are set for May 29, June 5, 12 and 19.

Grey Gardens brings to life the delightfully eccentric aunt and the cousin of Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis. Once among the brightest names in the pre-Camelot social register, these women became notorious recluses, living together in a run-down mansion. Set in two eras, 1941 and 1973, in East Hampton, N.Y., the musical tells the poignant and funny story of Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter âLittle Edie.â

Based on the book by Doug Wright, with music by Scott Frankel and lyrics by Michael Korie, the musical is alternately hilarious and heart-breaking. Itâs an amazing riches-to-rags story featuring twists and turns and wonderful songs. The Broadway musical received 10 Tony nominations and three awards.
