UW Jackson School: The Changing Middle East
In the closing days of 2010, the Middle East and North Africa have embarked on a fascinating, invigorating, but treacherous journey that is still full of surprises and unknowns. The Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies presents an unparalleled group of experts and eyewitnesses who describe their impressions of what is happening in this crucially important region, discuss its significance for the U.S. and the rest of the world, and answer questions from the audience. Participants include: Dr. Hussein M. Elkhafaifi (Libya), Resat Kasaba (Turkey), Frederick Lorenz (international law), Marwa Maziad (Egypt), Joel S. Migdal (general Middle East), and Jawed Zouari (Tunis). Anand Yang moderates. Presented by the Town Hall Center for Civic Life. Series media sponsorship provided by PubliCola. Series supported by The Boeing Company Charitable Trust and the RealNetworks Foundation.
