The Joy of Cheese Presents Classic Funk
Funk in the world of cheese began with Monk and we don't mean Thelonious or Meredith. Washed rind cheese which is cheeesemonger speak for the dense, aromatic and not for the faint of heart foodies, began in European monasteries in the middle ages and slowly, they have become a staple of all cheese plates and selections. Please join us May 17th at 7:30 at Clerkenwell, 49 Clinton St., for Classic Funk, a sampling and discussion of eight of the finest cornerstone washed rind cheeses. I'll present and discuss the cheeses and I am happy to field all varieties of questions about these intriguing and far from shy cheeses. Tickets are $25 and you pay for your beverages separately.
