OEDIPUS presented by Speakeasy Productions
King Oedipus, aware that a terrible curse has befallen his city of Thebes, sends his brother-in-law, Creon, to seek the advice of Apollo. Creon informs Oedipus that the curse will be lifted if the murderer of Laius, the former king, is found and prosecuted. We follow Oedipus as he subjects a series of unwilling citizens to questioning, including the blind prophet Tiresias. But what horrifying truth is the prophet Tiresias withholding from Oedipus? Come witness the world premiere of this original adaptation of OEDIPUS. Set in the early 1900's Western Europe, an extremely physical piece of theatre with dance, song and cliffhanging drama.
