Fil Lorenz Nonet - Hot little big band
9 piece ensemble that walks the line between jazz combo and big band. Plays 1950s Blue Note Hardbop (normaly presented in the classic quintet lineup) orchestrated for an expanded frontline of 6 horns + piano, bass, and drums. The music of Hank Mobley, Kenny Dorham, Elmo Hope, Walter Davis Jr. and others will be featured.
