Early Music Voices - Handel's Dixit Dominus (RDSO & VoiceScapes)

Pre-concert talk at 7:30pm.

Though only 30 minutes long, Handel's Dixit Dominus contains some of his most exuberant and thrilling choral music. Presented along with his Nisi Dominus (using similar forces) and his Concerto Grosso op. 6, no.2, this repertoire shows off the virtuosity of our accomplished singers and instrumentalists. A co-production with the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra, this performance will be on period instruments (instruments like the ones from Handel's time.) As with our very successful B Minor Mass celebration of 2 years ago, it will be the first time these choral works have been performed in this way in Alberta!
