Illuminasti
The Illuminasti Trio features Skerik, Mike Dillon, & James Singleton of Astral Project
Seattle-based saxman Skerik is intent on breaking down boundaries, between punk rock and be bop, free jazz and jambands. New Orleans-based vibraphonist and percussionist Mike Dillon has been on a similar quest, and fellow New Orleans native and bassist supreme James Singleton is a jazz favorite from his work with Robert Walters and fronting his on Astral Project group. These three guys together will make a powerhouse of improvised music that will be undoubtedly even more difficult to pigeon hole.
