Join us at South City Kitchen Vinings on Saturday, May 7 from 5-7pm for a tried and true Southern tradition: the viewing of the Kentucky Derby.

Put on your seersucker suits and biggest Derby hats to enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cocktail tasting on the patio of the perfect mint julep, mojito and our festive Kentuckyrita. Our talented bartenders will be on hand to teach you how to make these luscious libations with complete step-by-step instruction and recipe cards you can take home.

Benedictine Dip with toast points - cucumber and cream cheese spread, colored with blanched and pureed spinach

Smoked chicken wings
Cold smoked and fried crisp chicken wings tossed with bourbon hot sauce

Goetta - Kentucky sausage meatballs

Squashpuppies - hushpuppy-style batter with diced zucchini and deep fried until golden brown

'Pigs in a Blanket' - baked country sausage covered in brioche dough

Griddled Pimento Cheese Sandwiches - our famous pimento cheese spread on grilled sourdough bread

Kentucky Burgoo - a traditional Kentucky stew consisting of pork, chicken and lamb slow cooked with okra, lima beans, corn, tomatoes and chicken stock, served over mashed potatoes

We'll televise the race with the sound up on our flat-screen TVs so you won't miss a minute of the action.
