Highland Park Harvest Walk
After the April showers, May flowers, and a summer of growing, what does Roxbury's harvest look like? Three months after the spring Highland Park/Fort Hill Garden Walk, return to follow up with the Highland Park/Fort Hill gardeners. Grow green with envy at the harvest growing in the orchard and in the Garden Girl's Farm. Also, learn tricks of the trade for preparing gardens for the winter.
Visits include: Cooper Education Center and Community Garden Garden Girl Farm Don Mawson & Bill Lottero
The tour is led by the aptly-named Tom Plant, Director of Special Projects in the Environmental Health Office of the Boston Public Health Commission.
Like the gardens, this tour happens rain or shine. Be sure to wear sturdy, comfortable shoes for walking up and down irregular ground.
Meet at the Cooper Educational Center and Community Gardens, 34 Linwood St, 10am.
