MTC's Advanced Acting Workshop

Advanced Acting ~ "The Company" (Ages 15+)
Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 1:00pm
6 week session: July 6 - August 12
Auditions: June 24th 7pm & June 25th 2pm Callbacks: June 26th 2pm
The Company will be a place to introduce or improve acting techniques and will culminate in a performance of a full-length play or several one -act plays depending on the number and experience of interested actors.Auditions will be held June 24 & 25 with callbacks June 26, but no advance prep is necessary.Actors will be asked to read from a script of the director's choosing.

Instructor: Rita DeMatteis received her degrees in theatre from San Francisco State University where she also did her graduate work.She spent 35 years teaching beginning, intermediate, and advanced acting classes at George Washington High School in San Francisco. She directed dozens of shows, scenes from which were repeatedly selected for the Mayor's Command Performance.When on sabbatical, she worked as an artist-in-residence at the American Conservatory Theatre. Currently Rita is starting and serving as director for"The Company", an ongoing theatre group for young actors ages 15+ at MTC. "The Company will perform comedies, dramas and mysteries.
