Paul Allen: 'Idea Man'
There's "well-rounded," like the kid who plays soccer and makes the honor roll, and then there's Paul Allen. With his impacts in science, technology, business, medicine, sports, music, and philanthropy, it's no wonder Time named the Microsoft co-founder one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2007 and 2008. Allen's 2009 discovery that he had lymphoma, on the heels of a successful battle over Hodgkin's disease in 1983, lent urgency to his desire to share his story, and now, in an interview with Todd Bishop of GeekWire, the author of the memoir Idea Man explains how he has solved problems, what he's learned from his triumphs and failures, and his vision for the future. Presented by Town Hall, with University Book Store.
