Freehold's ETI Shakespeare Recital
Experience the wealth and breadth of Shakespeare's works in ETI's SHAKESPEARE RECITAL April 29, 30, 2011
Freehold's Ensemble Training Intensive (ETI) program is a one of a kind 10-month conservatory program designed for emerging artists who are ready to make a vocational commitment to the theatre. As a part of their training, ETI students will be presenting a showcase of Shakespeare's scenes and speeches for the public on April 29th and 30th, 2011. Freehold's ETI students have been working under the tutelage of Freehold faculty member Amy Thone in preparation for this recital. Their performance is the culmination of the students' rigorous training and gives a peek into the work and skills they've been generating as an ensemble. The recital will be directed by Kevin McKeon.
Here is a unique opportunity to be wondrously filled up on the bards' magnificent words. The showcase includes two evenings full of excitement, passion, love, and treachery as only Shakespeare can master. This recital travels the breadth of Shakespeare works and includes scenes from: King John, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Julius Caesar, Othello, Taming of the Shrew, Measure for Measure, Richard III, Twelfth Night, and Hamlet. The ETI students will be continuing their training through June, 2011 and will complete their course of study by performing in Freehold's Engaged Theatre Summer Tour. The ETI Students include: Monica Chilton, Kevin Dailey, Elizabeth Deutsch, Lori Evans, Luisa de Collova, Anthony Leahy, Parker Matthews, Phillip Mitchell, Jonathan Nawn, Riley Neldam, Caleb Slavens, Lance McQueen, Melissa Topscher, Amy Wason and Kiki Yeung.
Freehold in partnership with New Century Theatre Company (NCTC) and Seattle Repertory Theatre offers our Ensemble Training Intensive (ETI) through Antioch University's Center for Continuing Education. The ETI Instructors are both Freehold Faculty and New Century Theatre Company members, with occasional guest artists contracted for specialty workshops. The instructors for this program include: Robin Lynn Smith, George Lewis, Marya Sea Kaminski, Amy Thone, Hans Altwies, Darragh Kennan, Alyssa Keene, MJ Sieber, Gin Hammond, Kimberly White, Joel Benjamin and Hal Ryder.
This event will definitely be "a dish fit for the gods."
