The battle for control of England between two factions â" the Red Roses of the Lancasterâs and the White Roses of the Yorkâs, echoes through the ages. Each branch of the family tree looks at their heritage and claims to be the rightful heir to the throne.
This production explores the passage of history through a lens of violence and warfare that seems never-ending.
The three parts of this tragic story are each set in a different time period â" Part 1 in Early Renaissance in the time of Joan of Art, Part 2 in the Regency England of Jane Austen, and Part 3 in the 1980âs during the Reagan-Thatcher years.
Brilliant costumes, sword fights, wonderful acting and three centuries of music come together to make this multi-media performance an unforgettable theatre event. Music from the three centuries arranged and performed by local performing arts treasures: Tina Chancey (renaissance music specialist), Karen Ashbrook and Paul Oorts (18th century music scholars) and the Blackjacks (rock band extraordinaire).
