Food Lust 2011
Now in its sixth year, we're looking forward to seeing you at Food Lust, Cascade Harvest Coalition's gala on-farm dinner and auction benefit.
Once again, we'll be feasting and celebrating at Jeff Miller's lovely on-farm venue - "The Fields at Willie Green's Organic Farm."
Start off with a stroll around beautifully landscaped grounds - then make your way to the silent auction where you can browse and bid to your heart's content while enjoying tasty appetizers, select Washington wines and beer.
Then it's off to the Greenhouse for a fabulous multi-course dinner featuring delicious artisan cheeses and breads as well as the freshest and tastiest local food from our farmer friends, all lovingly prepared and presented by talented local chefs.
After dinner, get ready to flash some cash (and your bid number) for the live auction and hold on to your fork for the Dessert Dash. Remember, no elbowing anyone over the cheesecake...
Wait, there's more! Before you gather up your booty and head home, follow the tiki torches to fire pit where we'll have all the fixin's for S'mores -
This year, we're looking forward to our new auctioneer - the incredibly engaging, funny and downright sassy JT Haynes affectionately known as "The Mouth of the South."
Musically speaking - live from Port Townsend say hello to New Forge - fresh takes on barreling bluegrass, Chicago blues, low-down funk and rock grooves.
A special thank you to this year's sponsors: Charlie's Produce, Grand Central Bakery, King-Pierce Farm Bureau, Northwest Farm Credit Services, Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance,One PacificCoast Bank, Organic Valley, PCC Natural Markets, Seattle Tilth and Urban Food Link.
