PMSTA Kick-Off Fundraiser
After a 3 year break and with a few new cast mates, PMSTA is coming back in full force with a new show, "Death of a Playa." A variety of funny and absurd imagination on what goes on in a woman's mind facing chaotic challenges in life. PMSTA will be one of the productions performed at the new reconstructed Bindlestiff Studio at 185 Sixth Street in the South of Market Area. With this ecstatic news, PMSTA will need to raise a total of $15,000. We hope to enhance public perceptions of FilAm women's capacities to lead, change biases against FilAm women's abilities and serve as an open dialogue among Filipinas of all ages. PMSTA brings up themes that will shine truth that all women are connected and are not alone on their personal journeys here in America. PMSTA aims to inspire women with the courage to break free from the chains of limiting belief patterns and societal conditioning that have traditionally kept women suppressed and unable to see their true beauty and power. In order for us to pass this message along with performances, we need your help. Please help and join us in celebrating PMSTA's new production by attending our KICK OFF FUNDRAISER hosted by Passion Café on Thursday, April 14th from 7-9PM.
There will be delicious appetizers, great drinks and entertainment from PMSTA, Bindlestiff artists and more. Please support us by purchasing advance tickets. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
Please help us reach our goal of $15,000 to further educate and inspire all women in our society.
ABOUT PMSTA Pinays Maintaining Sisterhood Through Art (PMSTA), was founded in November 2007 by a group of former cast mates from the Women's Show called, "The Fountain of Youth is a 16 oz Jar of Vaseline," directed by Gayle Romasanta. With much inspiration, the cast mates, Andrea Almario, Aureen Almario, Ann Borja, Kat Evasco, Jamie Nallas, Gayle Romasanta, Tonilyn Sideco, Maggie Suarez-Calixton, Ava Tong, and Nicole Villanueva, decided to open new doors for other women who can voice out their struggles and accomplishments.
