This new musical follows eight humans, who are drafted at random and placed into your typical American zoo. After saying goodbye to their loved ones, these Homo Sapien Sapiens are taken to their new home: a glass encased zoo exhibit. Through music, movement and improvisation peppered with laughter and tears, this play examines the value we place on human beings over all other species. What does a life in captivity under observation do to a species? How does this change the course of evolution? If an animal spends its' entire life captive in a zoo does it change our perception of the animal's natural life and habitat? Why is it considered inhumane to treat a human as you would an elephant? Who wouldn't love to find out?
